New to collecting, 151 brought me back, now I’ve nearly mastered the set.
I’m only missing full art jynx and reverse big air balloon. I had so much fun ripping packs with my fiancé, she got the magic hands. After dropping about 1400, I decided to just buy and trade my remaining cards to complete the set. I’m sad that I couldn’t pull the charizard, but I got all the other sirs.
I found out how rough it is to try to sell to vendors at shops or shows. I found a lot of my cards on offer up, where I could trade at equal value. I made friends with people who I traded with and we update each other with our duplicates and the cards we still need.
What a journey this was. Really brought me back. I tried opening packs in the past, but they didn’t feel as good as 151 does.
Anyways, I wish you all luck! This sub helped me out a lot too, seeing everyone’s pulls or no pulls, it was great. I felt connected to you guys. Now I guess onto the next set. 😂 or maybe I’ll get some cards graded. How far will this rabbit hole go?? 😅
Edit: I also turned a scalper into a friend and got them to sell to me at msrp. Was a huge help to buy from them and trade our dupes lol
